SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta today interacted with senior journalists and media representatives at Lok Bhavan, Shimla, during an open and cordial exchange on issues concerning the State, its development and the aspirations of its people.

During the interaction, members of the media fraternity highlighted various public concerns, development priorities and emerging issues in Himachal Pradesh. They also shared their views and suggestions on strengthening constructive engagement between the media, citizens and public institutions.

Governor Kavinder Gupta emphasised the importance of a free, responsible and credible media in bringing public concerns to the forefront, highlighting positive developments and facilitating informed public discourse.

He observed that the media serves as an important bridge between people and institutions and can make a meaningful contribution towards strengthening democratic processes, transparency and public accountability.

The interaction also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on issues of public interest and the role of the media in supporting constructive dialogue and development-oriented discourse in Himachal Pradesh.
